Every college, school, academy, and teacher has to go through a comprehensive registration and security check to ensure that we have the appropriate people on our system in order to provide the most authentic experience possible. However, we understand that this may not be enough to assure the safety and protection that parents and kids seek. Since this is a nationwide platform, we are generally dealing with people we have never met before, and there is always a danger when meeting up with someone you don't know. We suggest you use great caution. If you're looking for a home tutor, you can see available tutors in your area. Complete details of that tutor are displayed on the application dashboard.
Never arrange to meet a tutor by yourself at home, always ensure that there will be other people in the house during the tutor’s visit. If you are a student meeting a tutor for the first time, always have someone else present, ideally a parent or guardian. For parents meeting tutors for the first time, the same applies – always make sure there are other people present. Even once lessons are underway, it's important that students aren't left alone at home with a tutor.
We recommended that lessons take place in an open room in the house, for example, the lounge.
If you arrange to meet a tutor in a public place, you should still arrange to meet your tutor with another person.

For Tutors

We suggest tutors must take the following safety advice for their protection:
Always let someone know where you are going. Provide the name and address of the student you are going to visit.
Always carry a mobile phone with you. Let someone know when you have arrived at your destination and how long you intend on being on the property. Likewise, let someone know when you have left your destination.
If possible, try to tutor in daylight. Understandably, this is not always possible during the winter months when high schools finish in the evening.
If possible, travel to your student’s home by car. This is a far safer option than taking the bus or walking as you will be able to reach a safety point much quicker if necessary.
Always plan your route to your student’s home. Make sure you have good directions to where your student lives, especially if you are not traveling by car.
